Castaway Guesthouse is the perfect base from which to explore the many wonderful sights and experiences Orkney has to offer.

Built in 2015, Castaway Guesthouse is a family run business centrally located in Kirkwall. We offer comfortable, clean and homely en-suite rooms with free WIFI, freeview tv and hot drink facilities. Off street parking is also available.

Just a quick 10 minute scenic walk to the centre will take you past the ‘Peedie Sea’ and harbour where local restaurants and watering holes can be found.
At the heart of Kirkwall stands the magnificent St Magnus Cathedral, while nearby are the Earl's and Bishop's palaces and the Orkney Museum in Tankerness House with its splendid gardens.
It's also a transport hub for bus routes across mainland Orkney and the port for ferries to Aberdeen, Shetland and the North Isles. Kirkwall Airport is just 3 miles from the town centre.
Castaway Guesthouse is also just a stone’s throw away from the Pickaquoy Centre with its multi-purpose arena, swimming and leisure pools, fitness and health suites, outdoor sports pitches, a café, the New Phoenix Cinema and meeting rooms.
